A quiet, cozy, and welcoming spot to have coffee and breakfast, just a short walk from our Machiya. We were warmly welcomed despite only knowing a few Japanese phrases. The menu is small and simple. Coffee was made fresh in pour-over style, and the food portions were surprisingly large. Very good value for the price. If not for a very busy itinerary, I’d have eaten here every day.

What a great little shop. I’ve never had Vienna coffee before but it was delicious and the gentleman was so kind and courteous.

I took a break from walking and found this cozy coffee shop. I ordered a coffee and cheesecake , both a perfect 10/10.!! The man working there was so kind, even helping me charge my phone. Jazz music playing and the retro decor, made eveything better. Thank you for the warm hospitality!

My daughter and I dropped by for a quick cup of coffee. We were staying at the nearby Westin. This was the first time having siphoned coffee. It was delicious. We were severed by the smartly dressed gentleman who was professional and polite. The place gives off vintage vibes - an authentic coffee shop in the age of mass market cafes.

Fantastic coffee shop kinda hidden away. Owner was super nice and accommodating, and the coffee was just about perfect. Food was great, with maybe the best egg sandwich I’ve eaten. So happy I ran into this place.

I stumbled upon this little café in Kyoto and was honestly shocked by how affordable it was — probably the best prices I’ve ever seen in the city! I ordered the omelette set, which came with perfectly fluffy eggs, buttered toast, a small but fresh side salad, and a cup of tea — all for an incredibly reasonable price. The atmosphere was cozy and relaxed, with friendly staff and a quiet local vibe. It’s the kind of place you could easily spend an hour or two just watching the morning unfold. If you’re looking for a simple, tasty, and budget-friendly breakfast in Kyoto, this spot is an absolute must.
